A graduate of Purdue University, USA with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Nizam Haris is an experienced Aerodynamicist with experience in Formula One Motorsport with Lotus Racing / Caterham Formula One (United Kingdom), large fixed-wing military UAV with Unmanned System Technology CTRM (Malaysia), as well as experience in aircraft propulsion research and development under the Purdue Rolls-Royce University Technology Center (USA).
Having been a Formula One aerodynamicist for 4 years, and dealing with UAVs at Unmanned Systems Technology as the senior aerodynamics and performance engineer, Haris is the Technical lead for Pragbotix. He is in charge of all R&D, technologies, tech equipment, product design, manufacturing, and QA. Haris also doubles as operational support as required, leading field maintenance on deployments. As a graduate in Aerospace Engineering from Purdue, Haris tends to be more US-centric in his views as compared to the rest of the team, which allows for a greater breadth of discussion. He also teaches part-time as an adjunct instructor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Asia campus (in Singapore).
